  As Owner of the Killin Outdoor Centre I reserve the right to answer to Mr Justin Branger's review of our business. Mr Justin Branger indeed hired two bicycles at our centre. I was kind enough to hire out two bikes out of season. The bikes had all been serviced at the end of the season, are maintained correctly throughout the season and when the bikes were handed over they were, to my knowledge, in good working condition and without any known defaults. The suggestion that I deliberately hired out a faulty bike is not based on facts ( I genuinely don't see the point in doing so as a business model), the suggestion that I hired out my own mountainbike is also not based on a fact since I ride a different brand. Before they left I took time to explain the route the clients wanted to cycle in order to make the clients experience as nice as possible. When the client came back one of the bikes was indeed damaged. The inner chain rang at the cranckset was bent. I listened to the client and explained that this default was not known to us, asked what had happened and when they had noticed this. The answer was "almost immediately" and on my question why they had not returned to the centre so that I could have provided the clients with a different bike I did not receive a clear answer. I gave the client the benefit of the doubt and charged him only for one bicycle instead of two.....if, as the client states, I was only after money I would have charged him the full amount for the hire and the repair costs.
